Actress and comedian Wanda Sykes said recently that it did not take her long, in deciding to have both breasts removed. The 47-year-old movie star told People magazine in this week’s magazine issue, that she just wanted the best odds. She added that she made her decision, as she loves her life.
After having a breast reduction in February this year, Wanda Sykes was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS). It is a noninvasive type of breast cancer. When the doctor said that she suffered from the cancer, Wanda Sykes did not believe, yet she knew that was doable. The actress underwent a bilateral mastectomy, back in August.
